Every Aussie retailer worth its salt has a Boxing Day sale, and that of course includes one of the biggest of them all: Amazon. 

As we expected, the online retail giant started its Boxing Day sale early on December 22, and it ended on December 27. As we predicted, there are still some excellent offers available, which are ending soon, so this may be your last chance to bag a bargain. 

You could find yourself or a loved one a wonderful gift to kickstart the new year or pick up some back-to-school supplies ahead of the new academic year to save on things like laptops and tablets. Boxing Day sales 2023: when do they start?

Boxing Day sales traditionally begin from December 26, the day after Christmas Day. In recent years, however, retailers have been adjusting how they treat the sales period. Not only do Boxing Day sales usually run until at least the end of the year (and occasionally into the first few days of the New Year) they also occasionally start earlier than Boxing Day itself. 

Which stores have Boxing Day sales?

We expect the vast majority of stores in Australia to have Boxing Day deals, both in store and online. We can be pretty sure the usual slew of big retailers will have some great Boxing Day deals on a range of tech. 

These retailers include Amazon, The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee, Harvey Norman, Myer, Appliances Online and many more. 

Are Boxing Day sales better than Black Friday?

It depends on the retailer and what you’re shopping for. While Boxing Day definitely presents a chance to make some big savings on a range of products, tech has traditionally been discounted more on Black Friday. Boxing Day deals tend to be more attractive on items such as fashion and homewares.
