Where to buy Nintendo Switch online these stores have stock

Publish date: 2024-06-25

Where to buy the Nintendo Switch is a question that many gamers still ask, despite the console's age. The good news is that retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are generally great places to start and usually have Nintendo Switch stock. We've even seen some Nintendo Switch deals these past few weeks.

Although Nintendo Switch stock tends to sell out fast (especially limited edition consoles), you still have a fighting chance of scoring a system. More importantly, you don't have to worry about bots and scalpers buying up every Switch console. Below you'll find all the best spots to buy the Nintendo Switch online.

Nintendo Switch OLED

The Switch OLED is here, and you can read more about it in our Nintendo Switch OLED review. The new console sports a larger OLED screen, but otherwise remains mostly the same. The Switch OLED costs $349. You can buy it at the same retailers as the base Switch and Switch Lite models.

Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue

Last year, Nintendo released a new Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue console. The console features a design inspired by Mario's signature red and blue apparel. (Think of it as the Mario version of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Edition Switch). The new Mario Red & Blue console also comes with a bonus carrying case. It sells for $299, but tends to sell out fast when it's in stock. Make sure to follow our where to buy Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue Edition coverage for stock updates.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch — Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Edition

The Nintendo Switch Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Edition is a new Switch console that features art inspired by the action-RPG game Monster Hunter Rise. The console, which costs $369, includes a digital code for Monster Hunter Rise and a DLC that includes additional in-game content. The console was released on March 26, 2021, but is near-impossible to find in stock at the moment.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch Lite

The Nintendo Switch Lite has been easier to find in stock than the Nintendo Switch. You can usually find Nintendo's handheld at Best Buy, Target, or GameStop. Just keep in mind that it sells out fast and the coral color is the hardest console to find.

The Editor's Choice handheld sports a comfortable design, stellar game library, and is more travel-friendly than the OG Switch. In our Nintendo Switch Lite review, we felt the Switch Lite had a more sturdy design, whereas the Switch feels more like a display with two controllers on the side.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch —  Nintendo Store

The Nintendo Store is back online! Prior to the pandemic, the Nintendo Store was a great source for new and refurbished Nintendo Switch consoles. However, the store had been shutdown since April. (It came back online on July 1).  As we suspected, plenty more stock has been added, including refurbished Nintendo Switch consoles for $259. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Store at eBay — another great source for consoles — remains closed. We'll update our post when it reopens.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch —  Refurbished models

If you can't find a new Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite, your next best bet is to opt for a refurbished model. As with any refurbished purchase, you'll want to verify the console's warranty, who backs the warranty, and how long your device is covered. Although stock was out until very recently, there are no refurbished Nintendo Switch consoles available once again in the Nintendo store

Meanwhile, Best Buy has had fluctuating inventory of the Geek Squad refurbished Switch Lite on sale for $194. It's only $5 off, so go with this option only if new inventory is out of stock.

When to expect Nintendo Switch restock

Nintendo Switch restock can be found any day of the week. Stores like Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target are good starting points for Nintendo Switch restock. Should the console be sold out at one retailer, usually another retailer will have it in stock at its regular price.
